About KP

I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was a kid.
It's true. I loved animals, especially sea animals.  Still do.

Then, in 3rd grade, I took a private art class. I got to work with graphite, charcoal, clay and paint. I got the inspiration. In middle school, my parents took me on their travels to europe, and I got a first hand education in art history.

Photography is one of my great passions. I was a traditionalist for many years, finally succumbing to the digital age, and I haven't looked back. I experimented with medium format, lomo, cyanotype, gum-prints, and spent hundreds of hours inhaling stop bath in the darkroom before going to the dark side.

Design and art have been and will be a constant passion in my life. I continue to paint, sew, craft and illustrate daily.  And I'm lucky that my husband loves the ocean almost more than I do.
